Exploring Paradise: Our Beachside Hotel & Suites Adventure in Cocoa Beach

Hey there, fellow adventurers! We've got an exciting review for you today that's all about turning a regular vacation into an extraordinary one. If you're considering a pre-cruise stay in the Cocoa Beach/Port Canaveral area, this blog is your ultimate guide to making the most of your time at the Beachside Hotel & Suites. Get ready for an in-depth look at the fantastic amenities, nearby attractions, and our overall experience during our stay!

Location and Travel Convenience

First things first, let's talk location. The Beachside Hotel & Suites is a gem that's just an hour away from the airport and ideally situated for cruisers waiting to board their ships, such as the stunning Wonder of the Seas. Be sure to keep an eye out for our upcoming videos on this remarkable cruise experience!

The Perfect Pre-Cruise Stop

One of the highlights of this hotel is its ideal location for a pre-cruise stay. It's a stone's throw away from the pier, making it super convenient for cruisers like us. Plus, being next door to the iconic Ron Jon surf shop adds a touch of charm to the surroundings.

Beachside Bliss

If you're all about that beach life, you're in for a treat. The hotel is just one street away from the beach, and they've even set up a pathway that leads you straight there. You'll find chairs and wagons available for your convenience, and if you're feeling more adventurous, grab one of the available bikes or even rent a golf cart to explore the area.

Entertainment and Recreation

Feeling competitive? The Lighthouse Cove mini golf course nearby is a must-visit, offering fun challenges and delicious ice cream. And yes, you can even order beer while playing – how cool is that?

Parking is a breeze with the private lot, which is always a plus when you're traveling.

Our Suite Experience

Our two-bedroom, pool-view suite was cozy and perfect for our needs. The amenities were thoughtful – a small sink, Keurig coffee pot, microwave, and fridge/freezer combo. The separate pull-out couch area was great for relaxing, and the pool-view balcony was the cherry on top, even though it could get a bit noisy until the pool closes.

Poolside Paradise

Speaking of the pool, the Beachside Hotel & Suites boasts a vibrant pool area with a lazy river, perfect for unwinding. The poolside bar, Duck Dive, is a hit with its nachos and drinks, accompanied by a DJ to set the mood.

Culinary Delights

When it comes to dining, the Shark Pit Bar & Grill next door is a fantastic option. We enjoyed a Margarita flight (I'm a fan of the jalapeño margarita!), as well as fried gator bites and nachos – the perfect accompaniment to a tropical vacation.

More Dining Adventures

We also ventured to Brano's Italian Grill for some mouthwatering dishes at reasonable prices during their happy hour. And don't miss the Old Fish House, open since 1975, where we indulged in crab poppers, crab cake sandwiches, and more seafood delights.

Fish Camp Grill was another hit, offering a range of dishes from Blackened Mahi Mahi to Key Lime Pie. Their happy hour with half-priced drinks was a bonus!

Overall Experience

While we had a great time, we did encounter a few hiccups, such as the quality of food at the breakfast buffet, But that didn't overshadow the wonderful time we had overall.

Whether you're planning a cruise from Port Canaveral or simply seeking a beachside escape, the Beachside Hotel & Suites in Cocoa Beach is worth considering.
